OverviewCraven Community College recognizes that students need lots of information before they make a decision about their courses, their majors and their futures.
That's why the college has assigned faculty members and others to serve as academic advisors. Students are assigned an advisor based on the course of study they wish to pursue.
Advisors are here to help you decide which major is best for you and then to help you choose the courses you'll need. Students typically meet with their advisors before or during registration, but are encouraged to meet with their advisors at other times of the year, too.
Students who are enrolled in the following programs are assigned to the team of advisors in the college's Advising Center, which is in room 105 of the Brock Administration Building at the New Bern campus. The programs are:
Associate of Arts, including all pre-majors
Associate of Science
Associate of Fine Arts, Art concentration
Associate of General Education
Associate of Applied Science
