Transfer Notes

  • Completion of the AFA degree prepares students to compete for admission to BA/BFA programs in art or music.  However it does not guarantee admission into a university art or music department.
  • AFA students will need to complete additional general education requirements at the receiving university.
  • All courses within the AFA will transfer to UNC-system schools; however, universities without BFA degrees may transfer specialized art and music courses as electives.
  • Academic advisors are the best source of information in preparing specific portfolios or meeting audition requirements for university programs.
