Craven Community College Foundation

Overview

A legacy of helping students, Craven Community College Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. It was founded in 1977 to provide financial support to the college’s students and programs.

While most of the support has come in the form of student scholarships, the Foundation has expanded its mission to support college programs, initiatives and emerging priorities.

In 2010, the Foundation awarded 597 scholarships to students.

The Foundation actively seeks gifts from individuals, corporations, civic groups and foundations for scholarships, instructional programs, equipment, facilities, and other College priorities.

The Foundation is responsible for managing all expendable, endowed, and deferred gifts to the College and for distributing gifts and gift income for the benefit of the College and its students.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors composed of business and civic leaders and friends of the College who provide ongoing oversight and guidance for all fund-raising, investment, and management activities. The Foundation is housed in the Brock Administration Building on the New Bern Campus.
