GroupWise Webmail access using Internet Explorer 7.x and higher or Firefox 2.x and higher - (SSL)

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a cryptographic protocol enabling communication security over the Internet.

Internet Explorer Version 7.x and higher Instructions

IE SSL 2.0
  1. Navigate to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
  2. Check the Box “Use SSL 2.0”, and click “OK.
  3. Refresh the page.

Firefox version 2.x and higher Instructions

  1. Select a new Tab.

  1. In the new Tab, type “about:config” in the address bar and press Enter.

If you receive the below popup window and wish to proceed select “I'll be careful, I promise!“ and please proceed carefully. If you do NOT feel comfortable making this change, select your home page button. Your browser will use the default settings.

  1. If you selected “I'll be careful, I promise!”, make sure your cursor is in the Filter: field and type “security.enable_ssl2”. When you have finished typing, you should ONLY see security.enable_ssl2 in the Preference Name field.
  2. Double-click on the word “false” in the Value column, it should change to “true.” Also, in the Status column “default” will change to “user set.”

Firefox SSL2.0

  1. Close the Active Tab by selecting the “X” on the right side of the Tab.
