Career Readiness Certification ProgramCareer Readiness Certification OverviewThe Career Readiness Certification Program is part of a national job skills assessment system measuring “real world” core communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal employability skills that employers believe are critical to job success - skills valuable for any occupation, skilled or professional, and at any level of education. The North Carolina Career Readiness Certificate (CRC) is a portable credential based on the three most required ACT WorkKeys® skills:
These skills are required by 90% of jobs. AssessmentThese three assessments address workplace situations one might encounter on the job and prove to employers you have the skills to understand written information and can use it to perform assignments including simple calculations. The information can have potentially major implications for career plans and growth. The CRC assessment program is offered without cost. Registration for the program takes place on Friday mornings in the Bosch Siemens Building on the New Bern Campus or at other arranged times or places. Each assessment is a timed event. Scores on the three assessments generate a certificate:
Practice Tool for Skills TestingIf you are interested in practice on these skills, you can use the Worldwide Interactive Network (WIN) software. The practice sessions identify your skill practice level. Only the assessment will generate a certificate.
